Weather you love her or hate her, there’s no denying that she hasn’t influenced fashion icons of the future Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera. The Cone Bra, the punk look, the 80s bling and more recently the tight body suits and fishnets! At least one thing can be said she has no fear!

Recently she has launched her new clothing line with her daughter, Material Girl... I am desperate to go back to New York and see the exclusive collection at Macys, the clothing looks fab!

Gossip Girls Taylor Momsen models for them. She is the perfect choice for their clothing line as its edgy, punky and so on trend!

Jean-Paul Gaultier designed the iconic cone bra costumes for Madonna's Blond Ambition tour.

Punk

Arms full of bangles, backcombed coloured hair, crucifix – it can only be Madonna in the early to mid-'80s as she made her mark with hits such as 'Holiday' and 'Like A Virgin'.

'80s bling

With the shock of bleach blonde curly hair, Madonna’s 80s look was not one of her most flattering.

I love their edgy thrown own grunge style but sometimes they over do it and end up looking like a goth or a granny!

Developing a grungy, designer look, the pair launched their high-end fashion line, The Row in 2007, and more recently debuted their spin-off line, Elizabeth & James - which they named after their siblings.

The Row

The Row is a luxury apparel and accessories brand. They name came from Savile Row the historical bespoke suit tailors. The idea was to make tailoring in modern everyday basic clothing. The line is all about clean lines and sharp silhouettes.

Elizabeth and James gaps between designer and contemporary fashions. The collections embody an eclectic lifestyle by blending uptown and towntown elements with casual and traditional styles.

Audrey Hepburn made the little black dress famous on the big screen. Women from all over the world use this little closet staple for all occasions, paying homage to Audrey’s unique sense of style. Simplicity is the key for this look and putting bold jewellery with it adds unique sense of style and glam.

The Capri Pants

She made them famous in movies like Sabrina and Funny Face and today women still find them as a wardrobe staple.

The Ballet Flats

Ballet flats were her other classic wardrobe staple and to this day are always a casual favourite.

The Button-down Men’s Shirts

She pulled this look off beautifully. Audrey Hepburn loved feminine clothes, however she knew how to pull off the men’s inspired look flawlessly as well. After her movie Roman Holiday, women everywhere were copying her short haircut, full skirts, cinched waists and men’s inspired button-down shirts.

Kate Moss...

Kate Moss is the style icon who made us fall in love with skinny jeans and pumps. I remember thinking never would I wear jeans that tight and pipe thin ugly looking jeans. It was always boot cut or flares that were in fashion. However as soon as the waif looking Kate Moss started wearing them all the time it caught on so much, I now never look twice at a flared jean. Kate is a trendsetter more than a trend follower. She has an original style that is eclectic, in terms of the items she puts together.

The key to the Kate Moss style is the lack of any restriction in the case of color, size or shape. Vintage is an essential element in her wardrobe. Having an old school accessory is a must when creating her thrown on look.

When I hear the name Coco Chanel I instantly picture a woman dressed in a little black dress with strings of pearls. Not only a designer but a fashion icon, Chanel known for her little black dresses, classic timeless suits, shoes, purses, jewellery and No 5 perfume, her designs helped define women's fashion and made women feel independent and powerful.

The tweed check shift-style dress similar to Chanels garments is from Matalan £28 for the jacket and £20 for the dress. The LBD is from Topshop priced at £48..

I dont think any woman should be without a simple LBD in their wardrobe as it is a classic piece which can be worn time and time again and can be accessorised to suit any occasion.

Coco Chanel’s legacy will most definitely last forever, as the woman who was known for creating elegant, uncluttered silhouettes and exquisite fabrics.

Lady Gagas Fashion Followers

Lady Gaga..

Has Lady Gaga pushed the fashion boundaries too far? I don’t think so. I think her intention is to shock and push the boundaries of fashion. She once said “Fashion is everything to me. It's just as important as the music. I don't want to exist to the British people as just one song. I want to be a true artist who affects their culture.”

Although relatively new to the music and fashion seen, Lady gaga has millions of fashion followers. I think people enjoy watching and waiting for her next eccentric and iconic fashion looks, whether it be a dress made of bubbles or raw meat!

Some people argue she has not been in the spotlight long enough to be named as a fashion icon however she has millions of people who embrace her art and love of fashion and she has brought back futuristic, pvc and influenced millions to wear the iconic bow hair piece.
